Reservations and payments
How can I book a Food on Foot experience?
You can make your reservation directly through our website on the page of the specific tour.
After payment, you will automatically receive a confirmation email with the details of your experience, the meeting point and transport options to the location.
For experiences that include transport, we kindly ask you to email us with the hotel where you will be staying so that we can coordinate your pick-up.
What payment methods are available?
Reservations can be made online in advance. Our website uses the FareHarbor platform, where you can securely pay with a credit or debit card.
If you wish to use another payment method, please get in touch with our team.
Is it necessary to book in advance?
Yes. The capacity per group is limited and our gastronomic tours in Madeira often sell out.
We therefore recommend booking in advance. At the latest, reservations should be made by 6 pm (GMT) on the day before the experience, in accordance with the agreements we have with our partners and insurance provider.
Can I cancel my reservation?
You can receive a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before your tour.
In that case, we would be happy to:
- Reschedule your experience for a date of your choice (up to the end of the current year);
- Send you a discount voucher, to use whenever you wish.
If your chosen new date is fully booked, just contact us, we’ll do our best to find a suitable alternative.
Tours logistics
Where is the meeting point?
The meeting point details vary by tour. Some experiences include pick-up from your accommodation in Funchal or Caniço. You’ll receive confirmation of this information by email or WhatsApp.
What should I wear?
As always, it depends on the tour you’re taking. We recommend comfortable clothing and footwear, particularly for walking experiences. If your route goes through mountainous areas, bring a light jacket. Even on warm days, the weather can change quickly.
Food restrictions
Is it possible to adjust the gastronomic experiences for dietary restrictions?
In most cases, yes. Our Food on Foot experiences focus on local, organic, and seasonal ingredients. Whenever possible, we tailor meals to specific dietary requirements. Please let us know about any restrictions at the time of booking so we can accommodate your needs.
